You do get a few kids but not that many - Dillon springs to mind but he can ride rings round most of us and young Seth who I think was the youngest ever rider and enjoyed his time getting towed about.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Well, bah, humbug. It looks like I’m probably not going to make it this year since what I hoped was just a sprained ankle is a fractured fibula

There’s still a faint hope so never say never. I won’t find out the expected recovery time until next week but was told that 6 weeks would be optimistic

On the bright side, if you're going to break anything, that's not a particularly bad one to recover from. Still sub standard though, sorry to hear it.

Wonder how I can arrange to miss the Saturday due to work, and still make 2 out of 3 days, still finishing in Llanbrynmair....

Quite possibly, though I don't think MAM or BDS were recording the route. Drinking tea and eating cake were far more important than distance.
Although I took my lad home a day early due to impending meltdown he did 30miles and 3000ft on the way back to Stu’s, I couldn’t have done that at 10 years old.

Tea and cake is where it at people, riding bikes through bogs and tussocks is just a means to an end.
We’re all individuals, except me.

I woke up this morning but I’m still in the dark
