It’s quite a few weeks until August B/H and the proposed deferred WRT, and given the way things are being eased in Wales, it seems quite likely that it
can take place. At least from a “staying out overnight“ angle. I suppose from a “no gatherings greater than x” it’ll be harder to predict. But anyway, if it does, when will the gridrefs come out.
As you can see, I’m building up my hopes

If things progress as they have and there's no further resrictions imposed then I really can't see a reason why we can't go ahead. We may need some alterations to how things work but I'm fairly optimistic any hurdles can be overcome.
If things look okay at the end of this month then I'll aim to get the GR out at the start of Aug.

I know it's in England but the Malvern's classic MTB event is going ahead so there's some hope

The stumbling block at present Jay is the 'gatherings' thing. Obviously we know how quickly things change though and maybe I'm wrong but I'm starting to get the feeling that many people are now simply ignoring or perhaps just not understanding whatever message is shuffled out today / tomorrow.

Are the places gone or will there be some available when the date firms up?

Sent you another entry for my minder.
Edit... Actually, not, because the WRT Entry page is not there. So how do I pay?

It's hard to keep up
The building site I'm working on at the moment had a covid Marshall. To check how many in a house at one time etc but now there's no need for him apparently

Think I might be back in for this. A trip to Spanish Lapland two weeks after the rescheduled WRT isn't going to happen as none of us fancy three hours in a metal tube full of people ... nope. So fingers crossed we can make WRT work - maybe drop the mass gathering and prize giving at the start, and the weigh-in, or maybe move it up to the parking field. God. What about the cake? I dunno. Up to you Stu ... whatever you go with we'll all stick by ya.
I'm just stepping outside ...

I was thinking a couple of days ago that Stu could still have it in the yard, but the WRT "free gift" for everyone could be a BBB-motifed hula hoop just over 1m in diameter. If we all continuously "hula" them, then if you bump into anyone else's hoop you're too close and need to back off. If nothing else it would be an amusing scene. Or alternatively BBB-motifed full-faced flip-up "visor" things, they'd be also really handy when riding in the inevitable downpours.
Might that work do you think?
PS> Tim chap, was it you last year who managed to set the WRT shortest-route-ever record?

Right, can't make the WRT, but hoping for the BB200 TBC hopefully get on that this year

I'm sure we will still be shielding the MiL here at ours, so I can't risk mixing in a group.
I think I'll be arriving in the car park on the Saturday morning and I'll head straight out without heading down to BB Towers until I return back.

I know its all a bit "up in the air" right now, but anyone thinking of a mini bearbones event, or whether crotch goblins would be welcome at the WRT if rescheduled for August?

Quite possibly, though I don't think MAM or BDS were recording the route. Drinking tea and eating cake were far more important than distance.

I think it's a personal service Stu?

There's lots of different options available depending how things pan out between now and then.
I think it's a personal service Stu?
That'll be extra then.
