Talking of kneeing a man, I saw a sign today which read ‘ golden balls round about’ looked left/right, smiled at the faint praise and carried on cycling merrily along.

Aye but they're all on private land with the owners full consent, so I suppose they can do what they want. Obviously i am bothered about the fact some campers might carry the habit over with them should they venture further but I'm saving for a helicopter gun ship to sort that out.

It was that sort of site that Chickenlegs and myself stayed at on our way to Dartmoor last year, but as it was December and pi$$ing it down there was no chance of setting fire to anything, in fact the weather was so bad the owners wouldn't let us camp and insisted we stay in the cellar of the farmhouse with heating and a kettle

HOWEVER

Both the National Trust and Cornwall Council are keen to distinguish between discreet wild campers – who pitch late in remote locations and go early without leaving any trace of their presence – and larger groups camping in inappropriate places and leaving behind rubbish.
