Long term storage - top tube

Just had a thought, are there any concerns with suspending a bike by the top tube long term?

Ti frame Broken Road with wheels removed.

I can't think of any. I'm assuming you'll have some sort of protection between the top tube and the hanging device. If it's really long term I would remove the seat post so it doesn't get stuck and the bottom bracket to let it all breath

Most of my bikes are hung in shed or garage. (Some above my motorbikes)
Two ti bikes, various Ali and steel ones . All with wheels fitted.
Hooks from the rafters.
To protect paint the hooks have inner tubes wrapped around them if not plastic coated.
Some have a strap looped around top tube to give the clearance for saddle protruding too high on some bikes.
So ....no, not any issues ....err... except dust and cobwebs! (Eeeeek spiders!)

Psling has made an important point.

A service prior to long term storage is a good idea if you have the tools.
Removal of seatpost ,BB and steering bearings,brake pads,clean, inspect,regrease (not the pads)and reassemble, will guarantee bike is ready to ride after storage.
It's also good practice to remove seatpost after a wet ride to allow water that may have collected in frame at BB and lower steering bearings to evaporate before next ride.

Dont forget to drop your tyre pressure Shewie otherwise they'll just become rigid and knackered over time(ling term)..

Most of my bikes are stored this way and have been for years without any issues.

It's my go to bike so will be getting used regularly, but when it's not, it's hung in my cellar on the wall to keep it out of the way.
