Anyone have a recommendation for a shoe drying machine that doesn't cost the earth but won't explode and burn down my house.

The Amazon selection look decidedly sketchy....

I've been using an "Amazon" one for a year.

Works really well.

Admittedly I've never owned a shoe-dryer and maybe I'm missing out, but it might be worth considering a small dehumidifier as a more multi-use tool? We have one in our conservatory which turns it into a drying room and it's so useful. I'd sooner lose the bathroom  Stick a small one in a cupboard and it should dry your shoes pretty quickly, and could be used for other gear and/or in a larger space too.

Shoe dryer; come in from ride. Empty out shoes. Put on dryer. Turn the knob. If you're very unlucky, it might need to be turned again later. Next day, put dry shoes on. Works for gloves too.

I guess someone could work out the running costs. I used to rely on scrunched up newspaper but seriously, who buys newspapers these days?

Ive got one that has 8 prongs (4 pairs of shoes) and it works a treat but I also bought a plug in countdown timer so I can switch it on and forget about it and it doesn't continue costing money.
Our's only cost about £35-40 though.

Yeah, the twiddly knob on ours is the countdown timer. It was £51. I remember looking and seeing a huge disparity in prices for what seemed to be the same item.

I've got one that cost about £7 from amazon. It does look sketchy it hasn't burnt my house down yet. I do however have it on a timer plug so it isn't on when unattended. Works brilliantly and has a pair of blue leds in it to fool me into thinking its cleaning my shoes with UV.

Found a Husqvarna one for about £17.50 posted. Might give it a go. At least I know who to sue when my garage burns down. I've got a timer so I'll use that too.

Slightly amazed being This Place that, WADR, nobody's said: SBS!

So it might as well be me. "SBS!".

I use one (has two flexible hoses). Zero chance of drying Five Tens otherwise.
