Floating Points again. Hadn't realised some new material had come out earlier this month, hopefully a sign of more to come.

Johnny Flynn - Lost in the Cedar Wood

This is in collaboration with Robert Macfarlane and is fabulous . It’s folk at it’s best , with a touch of Alt-J , Mumfords, Jethro Tull.

at the moment, I'm completely taken by Adriano Celentano's take on what English sounds like.

I've been returning to some of their/his stuff, off the back of Spotify throwing up some Spiritualised.

Love Johnny Flynn - especially as a massive fan of Detectorists.

I'm listening to The Smith's Hatful of Hollow. As a 16 year old, the last 4 tracks really changed my thoughts on what music could be. I know they're nowt ground breaking, but the guitar sound and lyrics struck a chord #natch

Currently, television,Marquee Moon :-bd :-bd but me and my lad have been going through The Jam and Paul wellers later stuff. I was working at the Town and country club and managed to blag a slot on the guest list for me and the boy, he’s recently discovered the Jam’s early stuff so I’m quite excited for him. ✌️

Over the past week I've been in London and have been treating myself to working through Mogwai's back catalogue.

Exceptional selections as usual. I've got a couple of gigs soon for Spiritualized end of Apr and Mogwai in May. Everything Everything in weeks on a Mate's recommendation but listening to them yesterday, I'm a bit underwhelmed.

Running today with The Appleseed Cast - Low Level Owl vol.1.

There's definitely a direct correlation between the presence of John Frusciante and the quality of any given RHCP album (although I love the first few albums for different, nostalgic reasons).

I've been working my way through John Frusciante's solo stuff.

I knew the older stuff (through to the amazing Empyrean in 2009) but I didn't know he'd been doing loads of electronic stuff under the name Trickfinger - really liking it!

Not listened to the be RHCP album yet but I'll get to it.....

I’ll give his solo stuff ago, not sure why I’ve never listened to it before

I was on YouTube and this popped up in the recommended list. It's a brilliant version of one of the great rock tracks: When The Levee Breaks

All the Playing For Change videos are worth a watch/listen.

….the mighty Led Zeppelin, sometimes I struggle to believe some people don’t actually like them.

A convoluted listening route eventually led me to this track, stoners favourites ,The Orb, featuring Lee ‘scratch’ Perry

https://open.spotify.com/track/1O79Bxc3 ... Kzn-jK3FRQ

What a track 👍

I went to see Therapy in Manchester last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iS7x_U_DdE

There was another Irish band supporting called Enola Gay ... worth a listen if you're into that type of thing. Lad's got some clever lyrics.

Back home now, but earlier, the dawn chorus in my bivvy bag in the woods, lovely.
And that was after Foals in Birmingham, really enjoyed that.

Combichrist. They were a recommendation for "gym music", by a friend. For those unfamiliar I can only describe it as trance meets metal. I love it.
