Lanshan 1 users what length pole are you using

Post by firestarter »

Just picked one up from ebay , more than I wanted to pay but hey ho it's the older inner and outer that I wanted

So what length pole are people using as there seems to be a mix of answers on the net, I'm thinking 49 inch (125cm) like the lunar solo

Cheers

There's a sweet spot but I forget exactly what it is - sorry. However, 125cm will work fine.

Having just bought Al's old one, he told me that 120cm is ok, but 125cm is better.

Just bought the ‘pro’ version which is a straight rip off of the lunar solo . First night in it this evening (and very nice it is too...).
I’m using the 120mm pole from a trailstar set with a 6cm extender stu made. 120 does work, but the pitch never looked quite right.
126cm is spot on I reckon :ugeek:

I used a 120cm pole on my first night in mine but the inner mesh was annoyingly close to my face. A 10cm pole extender (thanks again Stu) raised it up nicely. So 130cm for me.

I had a quick play in the garden today until the rain came, unfortunately the grass was soft the pegs pulled out it was windy and the pole sank doh.. oh and my grass is on a slope. Will try again when I get chance before I order a carbon pole, 130 seemed too long though will have a play again ta

Worth bearing in mind that every Lanshan may not be exactly the same.

So I have a Lanshan 1 Pro inbound. Do I just buy the SMD Lunar Solo – carbon, single Pole-A-Bear, or am I going to have to chop up a broom handle to find the exact length for this particular tent and buy a custom length...?
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

Works well.
