Bluto 120 or 100
For an onone fat would you choose 100 or 120. I can't find what it's designed around.

Is it the white original one called the "Fatty"? if so that was rigid
Or the grey one called the "Trail"? This was for the 100mm I think, but not 100%

This one?
Taken Feb 2013
I'm sure it was built around these rigid forks
Re: Bluto 120 or 100
I ran a 120mm Bluto on my original On One Fatty and it was fine, no ill effects at all. Some people reckoned the 100mm was better as it was a bit shorter and closer to the length of the standard rigid fork but honestly the 120 is great. The Trail Fatty came with a 120mm Bluto as well fwiw (my mate has one which he still rides regularly).

Here's mine back in the day. I just re read your original post and the OOF wasn't designed to take a suspension fork as such, the Bluto was released after the OOF hit the market and the later Trail model was an update designed around the 120mm fork.

Ah. OK. How do I tell the difference between V1 and v2. No idea which one I've bought.

Re: Bluto 120 or 100
I can't remember how you can tell the difference but I remember mine was a V1. There was an issue with the frame breaking at the seat stay/top tube junction with the seat tube tower on some of the V1s IIRC and the V2 addressed this problem whilst still looking almost the same. I just googled v1/v2 but couldn't find anything describing the differences but I'm sure somebody with a better memory than me will tell us.

If you haven't ridden it rigid Allen, then I'd try it first before spending money on a new fork - this assumes it's a carbon fork and not steel though.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Re: Bluto 120 or 100
Not even built it yet Stuart. I'm actually struggling to get hold of the carbon forks that we're on the later one, hence the option of bluto. :)
