A pretty solid amount of banter and no mistake.

What the heck... You'd never have got there by 2020 without my motor mouth. Just saying
I once talked from about 2200 to 0500ish. Not sure what about but seemed that everyone was listening attentively we was on top of a hairdressers shop in Huddersfield (called Stevens... reminded you of JC)

Ha, was about to post last night as 9,999th to say the next one had better be good ... but didn't want to spoil the 'one'undred!' call from someone. Glad it wasn't missed

So who joined the group years ago and stopped attending?
I keep looking at the massive post started by Anthony (who I never knew), and wonder what happened to people like him. Are they still biking, bivvying etc or have moved on to pastures new?
It is quite interesting sometimes looking at the older posts. Still loads of threads asking "what tyres / bivvy bag / tarp" etc - those subjects must form the basis of most forums (just insert a different noun).
Maybe this post should have been an excuse for a BB party like the 1000th member was (sort of raise a glass at home type party whilst locked up/down??)

Re: 10,000 topic
There could probably be a few "combined" posts that would answer peoples general queries (like how to do the drop bar gears / single ring / big cassette etc ) but then again, getting all organised often stilts a site, IMO. The free-flowing friendly chaos here is what makes it what it is

Re: 10,000 topic
Pretty well every forum has regular posts/questions on particular topics. But threads drop off the first couple of pages meaning people might not find them (even though the search on here is better than many) and things change: new gear comes out; someone brings in a technique from a different sport/activity; that sort of thing.Cheeky Monkey wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 11:41 am There could probably be a few "combined" posts that would answer peoples general queries (like how to do the drop bar gears / single ring / big cassette etc ) but then again, getting all organised often stilts a site, IMO.
