Got a cotic rocket which I sometimes use depending on where I’m going and the distance involved.

Steel frame so not the lightest and 160mm travel doesn’t have the greatest pedalling efficiency but it’s brilliant when the trail points down hill.

Stay in the banks of Loch Fyne in Argyll.

Bold Linkin Trail LT with some touches, so not the original geometry.
3 years in and still going really strong.

Until recently also a Kona HeiHei DL, snapped the rear twice and recently put so mucj damage into the main frame it can't be fixed anymore.
I guess when a carbon fs frame weighs less than 2 kg without shock, it could possibly not be suited to my riding and weight (82 - 86 kg). The Kona will be replaced by a Ibis Ripley any time next week.

So basically a short and a long travel trail bike.

Both are/were regularly used for single track heavy bikepacking trips and of course day rides. Prealps (where I live) the Kona and for the big mountain stuff the Bold.

My local bike shop in Switzerland.
They - Ibis HQ - got a load of size M frame just a fortnight ago. Size L frames must have arrived in Santa Cruz last week.
Should be available again.

vaguely exciting, do you mean Ibis HQ in Santa Cruz ?

Are you going to get some frame bags for the Ripley, as I probably will (if I get hold of one)

Yes.

M's have arrived in Switzerland last week, L's should arrive this week. Keep your eyes open
It takes them about one week from Santa Cruz to here.

I'm going to make my own bags. Still have some Liteskin fabric left and will use the zips of the bag I made for the Kona, which has become obsolete.
