wildcat drover with a dropper - what could possibly go wrong ?

Post by fatbikerbill »

Does anyone use a seat post harness, specifically a wildcat Drover with a dropper ?

If so does it damage the slide parts of the seat post much/at all ?

asking for a friend ;-)

No probs, just get a section of foam or rubber handlebar grip, slit long ways, wrap it round the dropper post and strap on your seat pack. I've used my revelate terrapin and pikka on a thomson and rock shox dropper. I can get about 1.5-2.5 inches of drop depending. The limit is usually the bag hitting the mudguard. If you haven't got a rear mudguard watch out for the bag hitting the tyre and getting shredded.
