Should Be In Todays Ride, But Its Not Because...It's Not

Post by Escape Goat »

I've been wanting to get outside on my bike for more than a quick jaunt....when the weather is nice, I just want to be out all day. Whilst I can, legally, there's nobody stopping me from doing so, I went out and rode 100 miles. 6 hours and 34 moving minutes. Only thing is, I had to pedal 100% of the time, or I didn't move forward, not even on the descents after 100m! Turns out Bkool (the program I use) works on watts, no watts, no move.

It was great to get out, lovely weather, cafe stop with home made soup and a TV showing all my "watch later" videos.

Yep, I was in the garden, all day on my turbo. 100 Miles later, I was having a beer. Got to love technology, still, not as fun as getting out there and cycling around say Anglesey in a day and stopping for Icecream....

Hopefully one day soon, but I do like the challenge of 100 miles on the trainer - done it a few times now.

I'd rather scoop out my liver with a blunt spoon.

Haha! I did 200km on zwift (flat course) in the shed through the course of Saturday as did my mate at his place.

We had signed up for a zwift 300 as it would have been the Turra Coo audax last weekend, but 200k on the turbo was plenty!

Not the best fun days riding, but served a purpose, I hope!

I did three minutes on a turbo once. Longest three minutes of my life.

I do something on it most days if I can't get out due to weather or like now with the restrictions. Normally only 45mins to an hour, occasionally up to 2 to keep ticking over.

My trainer is on about 6600 miles in 3 years. I also use mine a lot.

I'd rather have been knee deep in a big mind.
