These are the bikes I can remember owning.

Puch (Mini-Sprint)
Lazer Custom (2nd hand)
Falcon
Scott (Waimea Team Issue)
Specialized (Hard Rock, 3rd hand)
Raleigh (3rd hand)
Calibre (Dune)
NS Bikes (RAG+, custom build)

I only own one bike, which is the last on that list. I will get another fat bike at some point though...
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

Practically a virgin in this,
Kona
Peugeot
Cannondale
Genesis
Bianchi*
Cotic*
*still have.
Would love more, but hard to justify  A new bike next year to replace Bianchi is the plan at the moment.

Down south we use the expression "a ton of.".. To describe a large quantity.

I now know where it originates from!

Has he had a sugar load of bikes!

Tony was always going to outshine us on this. Some incredible bikes in that list. The Rock Lobster 853 in particular. When I did my bike wrench course, I built a set of wheels for one and had a lend of it for a few weeks. Such a great bike.

Anyhoo, I goohoogled another of Tony's list - Kona Clydesdale Thing - and got this and I don't think my life will be complete until I put one together, with a big wooden crate on the front, and take it down the Waitrose on Saturdays. Someone tell me what fork is needed to make this a reality.

It’s known as a Fork That!

Marin Palisades Trail (1st bike 2000ish) raw alu

Marin Palisades Trail black disc

GT Avalanche

Kinesis Maxlight (in blue. Was lovely. Too stiff for comfort)

GT Zasker retro (too big so sold on... was lovely ride)

GT Zasker retro (in correct size but must've been a fake as never felt the same).

SC Superlight (what a bike... had eyed it up 5 years previously in MBR and when I won it in same colour off fleabay I was over moon).

Cannondale f800 (Furio was its other name... I called it Gunther... one of very few alu frames that I'd found comfy)

MuddyFox Retro (in steel and for the first year I always thought it was an Orange Clockwork until some retrobiker pointed me right... but didnt quite know which frame it actually was until Ifti spotted it... he bought it and lived happily ever after)

Boardman Team (as I was between mtbs a few years ago).

Independent Fabrication Steel Deluxe (Stu suggested not to get rid... he might've been right.. Never ridden anything quite like it).

Condor road bike (some sort of racer frameset with 1 inch headtube and confirmed as theirs by Condor. 631 Reynolds. My first Rd Bike... Inconsolable it was called).

Canyon Ultimate CF SL (my 2nd road bike and first step into carbon plasticky things... was lovely. Called Earnie).

Stan (Sonder Transmitter in green... my daily smile inducer)

Fedaia by Bertoletti who's named his bikes Legend. Slightly arrognat sounding name but it is Columbus steel so you coukd let him off!! (Currently being built and my 1 of 2... Also called Frieda).

Turner fiveSpot (never built as didn't wanna become a Junkie...) Specialized Enduro... (again, never built and judt passed throigh my hands and left me some decent headsets and other gear like superlight DT wheels). Apologies to any bikes/frames I forgot about... they know know who they are. Gone but never forgotten (kindof)...

Good thread :-bd

Various hand-me-downs
Raleigh roadie (scrapped)
Amaco Trailfinder MTB - 1987 (Dad's strictly)
Spesh Rockhopper (crashed n broken)
Marin Bear Valley (stolen  )
Orange Clockwork (crashed n broken)
Orange C16 (sold)
Fisher ExCaliber (now mate's pub bike) Added RS Judy elastomer forks
Kona Kapu (road bike)
:-bd Kona Explosif (853) Added Pace forks, Hope C2 disc and USE shock post (snapped) :-bd
Kona Explosif (Tue Temper) replacement frame
Dawes tandem (wedding gift/purchase - still have it, and the wife...)
Spesh Stumpjumper (earliest Fox shocks/forks) first FS (sold frame)
Spesh Stumpjumper (new frame) (sold)
Spesh Roubaix roadie (sold)
Kona The King (sold)
Sanderson Life (853) (sold)
On One Ti CX (CX bike, built from SH frame buy) (sold)
On One Scandal (29er) now a SS
Santa Cruz Tallboy v1 bought SH, (snapped and sold)
Cotic Solaris v1 (still have it built as rigid winter bike)
Shand Stooshie (keeper)
Cotic Solaris MAX v1 - 29er and B+ wheels (still have it)
Kinesis Tripster ATR (keeper)
Salsa Spearfish carbon MTB

If I had to choose one based on the experiences I had and memories I have, it would be the first Kona Explosif. Bought as a frame and built/upgraded over time. Took me on my first Alps trips, Tour de MB, Polaris challenges, Kona marathons, Grand Raid Cristalp etc. Loved it, but it snapped at seat tube junction as the shock post shim was too short
