Always looking on how to sort out a chainline issue on my 29 plus non boost, this could be the one, plus it's lighter than my Sram SX!

Looks nice and it’s nice to have alternatives to the two big S brands but try getting a spare for it just before a weekend’s ride. Think it will be a frustrating weekend

Yeah there is that - but I'd imagine if you had a brand like Box or Microshift you'd be a little more forward planning on checking your bike is ok prior to the last minute.

I'd be very keen on trying this indeed.

FWIW.
Microsoft parts are stocked by a lot of LBD's.
They are reasonably priced parts and function very well without the frills .....like us boners!

What I'd like to know is whether it would work with the SRAM road shifters on my gravel bike. I've had a quick search but that info doesn't seem to be out there in the public domain yet.

Microshift website states it is incompatible with both Shimano and SRAM.
They are using a different pull ratio.
They claim it will improve the gear change accuracy.
The design appears to work with almost a straight cable run down the seat stay,reducing the need for a curved outer and thereby reducing the friction.
I think it is designed to be a complete replacement or upgrade??
Probably best wait for a few reviews.

Yeah, time will tell. Probably using a Sunrace 10 speed would be the way for me to go if I did want to go 1x10 but I'm struggling to fault my current 2x10 set up in every respect other than simplicity. I'm always wondering about what I might do in future though and the Microshift 10 speed did pique my interest.

The photo above has it on the chainstay so it appears that other methods would be supported. The issue with seatstay cabling is it has to cater for huge variations in length on a full susser.

Being the Devil's advocate for a moment, there is a new standard if it's incompatible with either Sram or Shimano, the chain isn't beefier than any other 10 speed (is it?) and not needing a different driver isn't that special as it's not doing anything new really? I haven't looked at the weights/costs in detail but isn't it just ploughing the same furrow as Deore?
