If you hadn't broken its back by that point you'd never have finished...

...I know my BB200s (and since 300!). :grin:

The river crossing on the 2015 episode. That could get tasty if it was another 2 foot higher and rising...nothing like the 2018 crossing early on that so many people went around, but enough of a challenge and wide enough there might be a few wet bodies come the other side.

It is entirely possible that some of my mind is still there and hasn't completed it yet.

The funniest moment for me I think was in 2016 I managed to pass the cafe by without even noticing it!

All these tales of how much people enjoyed it and how it helped them through the night and I never even spotted it! That's always tickled me.

I must have been having a full head down and get on with it thing going on :lol:

I don't know if the bit immediately after the cafe was worse for having stopped for a couple of hours kip or if it would have been even more horrendous hitting it when still tired.

BB200 2017
For riding
the single track in Hafren forest was a complete surprise;
The climb south of Elan valley visitor centre followed by a blast down the track on the other side.

For experience
carnau night crossing for the bizarre bog fest, sensory deprivation, wildness, and light spectacle with riders strung out;
Hafod estate and arch - a bit of culture

If looking for ideas for 2020?
Doethie valley would be a nice touch
:-bd

But it's horrible :wink: There is however, another track nearby that IMO is much nicer to ride.

The loop around/into Glyn Ceiriog in 2015 was a lovely stretch. I'm sure it would ride well in either direction. :grin:

And that big lumpy rock between Cwrt and Barmouth is actual fun mtb-ing. Corlan Fraith?

Looks like I’ve touched a raw nerve there bringing up the D Valley. Please share your thoughts...

Stu
Would also be interested in knowing what your alternative is. It’s not an area I know too well, but got down there on my first WRT.

Cheers :cool:
