Many thanks chaps for all the messages. I had a good long chat yesterday with the PC that saw me at the time of the incident, he’s coming out to me this week for a full statement.
The car and occupants are “known” to them, there’s other leads that they have and connections to other offences as well. They’re busy people. Obviously they’d be better off in one of the slurry silos in these here parts - does that count as slow vengeance?

This is awful, best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Also annoyed that the police are treating it a GBH, surely it's attempted murder. I guess the issue will be which one of the scrotes in the car did the pushing but isn't there an offence of joint enterprise that could be used? I'm not a lawyer but if they're known and have form, I'd push for the book to be thrown at them, clearly it was premeditated.

GBH - that's a step up I reckon though. Normally they start coming out with all the 'mitigation' crap - oh, Sir didn't have a head-to-toe industrial strength HiVis suit on? Not lit up like Blackpool illuminations? No motorbike-style helmet? Oh those brake blocks are a bit worn. Up to you to prove they were in the wrong etc.

Sorry I've gone all cynical (again). Sounds like justice might prevail though.

Hope you can make Sat's gardenpacking mate.

That’s awful Pickers, hope you mend quickly and that they catch and put away those responsible.

Just seen this and shocked - Hope you get back on the bike and not let these cockwombles get the upper hand

Karma will strike - someone will have evidence or they will get all big mouthed and blab in the the wrong place

All the best
