Someone on eBay has folding Mezcals in 29x2.6 and 27.5. postage is a fiver but more reasonable if you buy more than one.

That super cheap Mezcal is sold out now. Anyone know why they're going cheap? New model?

The cheap ones seem to have dried up now. If you're interested I'm selling one of the two I bought in the Classifieds section - I'm already pushing it for chain clearance at 2.4, and 2.6 Mezcals are apparently pretty beefy.

In answer to your question as to why they're cheap - I think they're using the old graphene compound (not 'graphene 2.0') so must be leftover stock.

Is the old compound bad, or is the new one just better?

From the Vittoria website

Graphene 2.0 (G 2.0) takes the original Graphene compound foundation that Vittoria built, and functionalizes the advancements in performance, for each specific application. In other words, where the first generation of graphene compounds raised the bar evenly, Graphene 2.0 pin-points each performance metric, and increases it disproportionally to the rest. Vittoria is now able to apply Graphene in such a way that it can achieve a performance boost specifically for speed, wet grip, durability, and puncture resistance of mtb and road bike tires.

So the difference is basically marketing  I think my Mezcal and Barzo are the original graphene and they are the best tyres I've ever used.

No idea how good this is, but there's a good discount on a combined bug bivi/tarp on Terra Nova.

I have this Terra Nova tent, that they've got £100 off, from £250 to £150: https://www.terra-nova.co.uk/sale/tent- ... lite-tent/

Quality seems good to me, stands up to rain and wind well and doesn't get any condensation. Easy to put up and goes up all together so doesn't get wet on the inside if it is raining.
A very usable 2 person tent, large sized and doors on each side. 1.7kg
Absolutely palatial if you're on your own!

Daft question: is Komoot worth it? Have been trying to use Strava and TrailFinder for trail discovery and neither are quite what I'm looking for.

Personally I found route planning difficult on it (phone), jumping from a road, to a bridleway to a footpath seemed awkward but maybe that’s me.

Setting it to record a ride was straight forward though but guess if you like strava, then keep that and save yourself £20

Am not sure route planning is any better on Strava, but then haven't paid ££ - so suspect functionality might be behind their paywall.

New one for me, but maybe not for many of you. I've just discovered B&M, didn't have any of those near me before

Anyway, flapjack is positively bargainous in there. Smaller flapjack at 19p each, bigger one at 29p each. Former is maybe 3in big, latter is maybe 4.5in big. Plain and chocolate varieties. Individually wrapped. I've now gone through a few :-bd

merlin cycles are doing the Niterider Lumina Micro 650 for £29.99

Not going to set hearts aflutter among the £300 light crew, but if anyone's looking for a cheap light/backup/helmet light or whatever - doubt you will get better for £30.

Does anyone know how the Mezecal 2.6 compares to a 2.4 Ardent? I could probably fit a larger volume tyre in the back of my surly if the side tread was lower profile?

2.6 mezcals are true to size, maxxis on the other hand are always on the small side, they’re fat and plus tyres in particular are all undersize
