Waterproof socks for £19.99 a pair at Polaris.
https://www.polaris-bikewear.co.uk/sear ... ks&Submit=

No idea how they'll compare to other brands, but when I asked for recommendations recently, there seemed to be a lot of advice that it's a case of looking after them that seems to make the biggest difference.

I've been pretty happy with my Polaris purchases but I'm holding out for them to make knee-length versions

Was randomly checking this earlier and it looks like they've got (1 of) the L and XXL of the black jacket back in stock.

Bought a small and a medium of those nanolite jackets... amazed at how big they both are. The small drowns me, the medium would be ridiculous.

The best thing about the Outdry jackets is the fabric, it's very good. The worst thing is the cut, it really isn't very clever. It's very 'american' and boxy, would really benefit from a more technical, outdoorsy cut and someone like Rab or Montane making it

I think the worst thing is trying to understand the different model designations - seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

Says the tall slim athletic type ;) ... the cut on mine fits my shape quite nicely. For me the worst thing about it is that it has to be very cold and very wet to get on with it. I get sweaty just putting it on. It is though, truly waterproof.
I'm just going outside ...

no they are right
I have two smalls the lightweight one and the Ex Reign

The later is snug as can be on my hips and just fits the former i could get a puffer jacketon underneath and it probably still be baggy; they are both smalls

their sizing is erratic

...and the Alpkit code only works on items in stock. Wanted a black Drop Bear. Out of stock, but Alpkit said restocking in 2-4 weeks. Asked if could pre-order and use the code, but they weren't having it  Unfortunately, looking at their site, it seems quite a bit of kit isn't in stock.
