Your immediate reaction might be WTF, but give it some thought.
Cheap, Light, Tiny pack size, Quick wash/dry, Flattering* What's not to like?
I decided why not and bought one. It's everything I'd hoped for: Very warm, packs down very small, very light, only 80gms. Opted for the black because well . . black is slimming they say.
I'll spare you the image of me in it. Needless to say I 'don't quite' look like the model.

If this would stop midges it'd solve the main problem with my hunka! What do you reckon having seen it in real life?

It says here "for holding two adults". Well that would certainly distract you from the midges.

It's thicker than normal stockings and therefore hopefully more robust. Weave is tighter than no-see-um mesh.
Would need some sort of frame to keep the material clear of your face or bugs could just conceivably bite/sting through it.

Nordest Sardinha steel frames on sale at 399 Euro or 574 Euro with a fork.

Good value at that price in my opinion. (ML frame weight on mine was 2.75kg) so a little over the stated.

We have these thermolite liners and they are really great for cooler weather - very cosy and toasty. I paid £11 for ours but you can't get them for that price any more. This one is £25 and the same guy has one more too. A lot cheaper than the Sea to Summit Thermolite liners which are £40 or so.

Can't recommend these highly enough. I already have two or I'd buy another.

Err. I'm Medium. I'm also Medium in Gore and Endura jackets/jerseys, though I'm a Large in BB jersey/gilet.

They're a jacket and not a jersey so baggy enough to get a baselayer beneath.
