Didn't even know they did those!

Used to have something similar on my Triumph for winter commuting - made a huge difference!

A copies of The Year, Dave barters book about the year record are availble to pre-order - http://v-publishing.us9.list-manage1.co ... 47befdb69c

£16 posted rather than £20RRP. I'm sure there is a joke to be made about signed editions being cheaper than unsigned ones but I'll leave that for some one else to make!

Looks like the AX frame has been updated. Used to be classic cx/commuter/utility bike. Now looks like a proper cx race bike. Shame they moved away from the slightly lower and slacker geo they did on the first gen carbon ones. I've got one and its great.

Bike stuff in Aldi on Thursday. Wondering if the waterproof/breathable socks will be up to much...

I've had a few sets of Aldi merino base layers too. I've been using them for a couple of years now and they're still going strong. I love them. On the TCW last July I wore them for three days and smelt a lot better than my Helly Hansen man-made fibre ones after an afternoon.

They are quite thin, though. Sometime last year Aldi had a version, aimed at skiers, which were dearer (£20 rather than £15) but much thicker. These are my winter ones.

Just picked up a pair of rubber lights from Lidls, look like Knog clones.
Come in a 2 pack, one red, one white for 2.99

They're very bright, fit on my bike, seatpack, backpack and even make a decent head torch on the helmet, cracking buy for £3
