Just bought an Outdoor Research balaclava for £10 and noticed they have a pretty good clearance sale.

I was pretty underwhelmed with the Exposure Axis I got a couple of months ago. Neither the output or runtimes were particularly impressive so I sent it back for a refund.

Massively overpriced in my opinion.

To counter that, I think my Diablo and Six Pack are incredible lights, and have lasted me years. I'm just about the send the Six Pack off for a bit of TLC as it's making a bit of a rattling noise (still working perfectly).

I've no experience of the Axis but the Diabolo and Joystick I've used have been plenty bright and reliable enough.

Oh well, they took down the offer price before I could order, so I guess they saved me some money.

Well the Axis is supposed to be more powerful than the Joystick.

I guess it depends a lot on user expectation and also application.

I’ve got a Moon Xpower 1800 which I use on the bars with a moon xpower 1300 on my lid. Lighting wise, they are a fantastic combo but the 1300 has an external power pack which is a faff as I store the pack in my rucksack. I got the exposure in a sale thinking it would be similar in output (1250. Vs 1300 lumens)just with less runtime due to it being ‘all in one’ but would be easier to work with.

The Axis turned out to be really poor in comparison and I could barely even tell when it was switched on or what mode it was in as the 1800 on the bars completely drowned it - for an RRP of £190 I was expecting a lot more.

Or maybe I had a defective unit

Sorry mate, I didn't try it as I have the jacket already.
It came on an email from them, so I just copied and pasted from their email
Maybe sign up to their mail outs (they don't send out too many) and it may come to you too.

I had a load of grief with Muc Off sealant. Kept losing the seal on the rims in the wet. Same thing happened to another couple of people I know up here. Might just have been a bad batch but my LBS have stopped selling it and I deffo wouldn't buy it again.

Hope you have better luck obvs.
Yeah your right it’s pony, just had to plug and superglue a small flint puncture I picked up on the downs at the weekend. By small I mean the plug tool enlarged the hole!
Avoid like the plague! Strangely to first time I used it from a pouch it performed really well by sealing a 3mm cut almost instantly. Back to the ever reliable (apart from drying out) Stans.
We’re all individuals, except me.

I woke up this morning but I’m still in the dark

Maybe old hat and I know the amazon evil empire isn't for everyone, but I got a 34t 104bcd narrow wide ring for less than 4 quid with prime overnight delivery. I did the south downs way, plus a bit the next day and another 90 miles the day after and it is spot on - no obvious wear, apart from to the anodising and no chain drop etc

Edit - seems to have risen in price by 30p and only 2 left....

No worries, John.
Already on the email list, and waiting for the right deal - not in a hurry.
(Wish they still did them in blue, though)
