Link worked fine for me but couldn't buy it from home. Fine from work, figured it was worth a shot
I've got 110cm and 100cm carbon poles, how will it pitch with either of those? I have walking poles that I usually use to pitch things like this but that won't work on the bike as I don't take them... It's one of the big reasons I don't use my SuperMid for bikepacking

Use the 110cm as the main pole and the 100cm for the entrance. It'll be a little low but will be fine - 120cm is my favoured main pole length.I've got 110cm and 100cm carbon poles, how will it pitch with either of those?

Stu, are you using anything to locate the pole and protect the fabric? There's no sleeve and not a huge amount of reinforcement on mine.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Mine's got quite a big reinforcement patch on the apex, however I stick a rubber end over the pole just to make sure ... a ping-pong ball or even half a tennis ball works quite well, as does your glove.Stu, are you using anything to locate the pole and protect the fabric? Re: Bargain Alert Thread
...a discussion about this on a fb group I frequent highlighted that this is not the first time Cycle Republic have done this AND that it may be a rather cynical mechanism of signing up people to their mailing list (who don't opt out I assume whilst ordering).
Really annoyed and sorry that I posted it.

Pressed the button on the Trailerstar clone, this will definitely need to be smuggled in
Probably use it for a bit of backpacking/trips to the Alps where I can use walking poles. Guess for bike packing I'll have to get some very nice lightweight carbon poles, wonder where I could get those?
Seriously, the good lady would like to go back to Slovenia for some easy mountaineering, and we both hate staying in huts (neither of us can ever get a good night's sleep in one nowadays), so hopefully this will give us a good sized two person shelter for bivvying high up.

Fake copy Trailstar - for those who have one - did you get stung for customs or did the seller mark it down?
