Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere in this or another thread (can't remember where I saw it, but it got into my "watch later" playlist somehow). I thought it was well shot and edited (particularly for a solo trip). He talks a lot about endless hike-a-bike and bog sections, though there's some shots of some pretty nice looking riding too - it would be interesting to know what the actually split between these was, since presumably a higher proportion of the good stuff made the cut. Looks like he's travelling pretty light given the conditions and filming. Also, much less annoying than your average North American narrator

It's not the end of the world I guess. In riding terms, there's not really any more restrictions, other than I couldn't theoretically go and ride with a mate (although if it was an "organised" ride I could  ). It's not a great sacrifice in the grand scheme of things, just frustrating, particularly as we had friends visiting this weekend who won't be able to come now.

That was a longer film in the Banff Festival a few years ago. Great story.

Techno, thanks for the Bothy Life link! While she doesn't fancy dossing on the floor in a sleeping bag, Mrs Landslide could definitely see the attraction of holing up miles from anyone.

I don't do much telly but I recommend 'Brothers Grimsby'. It's a brit comedy with a slighty dark or near to the knuckle edge to it.

Long way up is on Apple TV :-bd

Really quite interesting (once you get past their electric charging anxieties...) watching this series.

Loved long way/down round by the two of them (did you know Ewan was in Star Wars...? )

"Cree Hunters of Mistassini is a 1974 documentary film co-directed by Boyce Richardson and Tony Ianzelo, chronicling a group of three Cree families from the Mistassini region of Quebec, as they set up a winter hunting camp near James Bay and Ungava Bay"

Nearly laughed up a lung the first time I watched it, also goes by the UK title of ‘Grimsby’

Not one Grimsby accent in the film like.

moxie who stared in and made the film went on to create the 'Signal' app, like a more secure/nonfacebookowned version of whatsapp. signal's encryption method then got sold to whatsapp for an undisclosed amount. but im guessing he's no longer
