Bothy use during Virus Outbreak

Post by Mart »

I see that the MBA has now officially closed everything until further notice

It might sound like your getting that fresh air and exercise getting there but once there you will be in
- close proximity with others
- Spreading germs just by travelling there
- In a place that's probably never been cleaned

Forestry commission also quoted earlier over Kielder ones

I had this thought the other day that you could head for a bothy to escape, only to find it rammed with other people trying too escape!

On a related note, I've just read this:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Highland-Hermi ... B004D4YB4K

In 1987 we had a family holiday at a cottage right next to the Sandwood bay track. The lady who owned it warned us of the 'ghost' said to haunt the bay (who has now been identified as the chap in the book) - obviously a subtle way of keeping us away from the place!
