Gentle Tent B Turtle

Post by sean_iow »

Just reading my Camping and Caravaning Club magazine ( maybe I should have saved it in case I have to isolate) and spotted this trailer tent.

Brought a smile to my face in these challenging times, and if the concept doesn't make you smile the price will, starts at £2700 :o

Oof.

I'd be interested how towing that behind your eBike affected the range...

But if your battery goes flat you can just fold out the tent and sleep where you are

I once did some sketches with the idea of making a lightweight version of something like this but then thought 'WTF for' and never bothered. There's certain elements of life that are best left separate and I figure caravans and bicycles are two good examples.

Can't see any advantage of this over taking a larger, heavier tent than usual and sticking it on a normal trailer. It would probably be lighter, much cheaper, and more wind resistant. Maybe slightly more work to put up, but one of those ones with inflating beams would probably still come in lighter and cheaper.
