SRAM transport pad spacers

Post by Shewie »

I’ve been trying to find some of those spacers to put in between my pads when transporting the bike.

I thought I’d bought the right ones on eBay but they don’t fit.

Does anybody know where else I might try?

Piece of card folded up and shoved between the pads will do it

We use a suitable coin held in place with electrical tape. A £1 or €1 coin is about right.

I did the folded card thing with the fat bike but ended up with some little plastic ones to fit the Shimano brakes.

The SRAM one's I bought on ebay I think could me adapted to work with a few snips and a bit of tape

I'd be quite happy to make you a custom set*.

I need your full name and all your financial matters' passwords. Oh yes, and the name of your first-born boy child.

* These may resemble folded cardboard, but don't be fooled.

Don't new brakes come fitted with them? If so your LBS might have some kicking about if they've fitted brakes to customers bikes.
