I wrote a book.

Post by Richpips »

.....well nearly.

Today I've finished the first draft of my book about some of our adventures over the last 9 years.

It'll take a while to get it knocked into shape fit for publishing by https://www.littlepeak.co.uk/, but I am very happy this evening as it's 3 years since I made a start on it.

Yes, I'll let you know when it's on sale I might ask Stu to stock it in his shop.

Came wait to have a crack at it either. Not really a reader, but if I have met the author a number of times and chatted , maybe this will be the catalyst I need.

Well done Rich... if you need someone to draftproof read it (my spelling and grammer is actually not that bad... pretty good actually  ) then I'm more than happy to be one of the volunteers :-bd

Nice one. Having just abandoned yet another 'bestseller' a third of the way through I'm on the hunt for a few good reads :-bd

With increased frequency friends, and occasionally strangers on the internet, have told me that I should write a book. I like riding, writing, and the vague image of inspiring people I am connected to, but feel all of these needs are properly met without “going pro”.

From your experience, would you be able to happily convince me not to do it?

Do it. I tried for years to ignore people who told me I should write a book. I've written and rewritten and still there is something there that I think is worth reading. Be ruthless though just write about the interesting bits.
