It is pretty but spending $4500 on a frame won't improve the quality of my existance any more than spending £400 will

Very true Stu, but its cheaper than a Ti Fargo.

But once you've shipped it and paid import duty they're about the same!

You sure Steve? Google says you can buy a Ti Fargo frameset for around £2500 and certainly less than 3k. That Curve is $4500 just for the frame and forks.

4500 AUD ~ 2300 GBP at the moment, so yeah, marginally cheaper until you factor shipping/import if ordering direct.

Guess that's the price for having a carbon flute on the front of your bike...

Sorry, I'd assumed it was US $ ... I take it all back except the bit about how it wouldn't bring any more joy to my life than a £400 frame

I was going to say the Smokestone Mr Harry look just as good, but it doesn't. I think it's the Ti seatpost and lack of chainstay protector that make it look swisher, oh and the fact that the photos are on a neutral background...
There are theories at the bottom of my jargon.

Bit OT, but if anyone wants one there's a Ti Fargo with carbon fork on eBay for £1800

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Salsa-Fargo- ... SwRjteAHNz

Seeing as I still haven't won the lottery there's no point me keeping it to myself any longer

As for the Curve, the offset bottles on the downtube look like a good idea and solution for the 'how to have a full frame bag and carry water' problem.

Really? £1800 for a second hand Ti frame when you could by a new custom frame for less than that?

I think if I ever had that sort of cash I would go down the custom route, nice as the fargo Ti is 2.5K is just silly.

What is the terrain or route that this is the best bike for it ?

Its a niche to far [ and now available with dropper posts and suspension - so where is a drop bar MTB the best option ?
