As with anything. I'm going to do my best to make it. There was a point last year when Tour Divide was not looking tenable. I did help with a few support requests when riding. My best yet is dictating SQL from my phone on the kayak in a cave entrance.

It’s no longer work for me that thwarts my plans - It’s my kids. Any sign of me about to leave the door for something exciting causes them to smash their face off something, vomit their intestines out or end up in hospital!
The longer i’ve been planning and the more I’m looking forward to it means the more life threatening the illness/injury.

In this day and age would they understand if you were addressing your work/life balance to preserve your mental wellbeing (or some other corporate office Bolocktics buzzword of the year)and delivery will me a day or so after.
