Atmospheric Places You've Been To On A Bikepacking Trip

Post by pistonbroke »

I stumbled across a place when researching a new section of the Spanish C2C trip last year which was the film set for the final scenes of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's been restored by a group of local volunteers, someof which were extras in the film. We passed by there on last years trip and will do again this Easter. A nice promo film has been put together but it still retains it's charm, mainly due to being completely in the middle of nowhere. Enjoy.

Going to have to watch The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, again, now... 🤣👍

i think that old Napoleonic fort towards the end of Torino-Nice Rally takes some beating, especially as some of the rooms had some very odd graffiti, the constant mist and the fox that stole my mates food!

Slept in a number of caves in Morocco too up Todra and Dades Gorges, only time i've woken up with a snake going over doss bag, and scorpions under tent in desert, where the seemed to like the moisture and dark.

Had a few moments in Iraq too, first nights trying to get head down around Basra airport watching the odd US drone come over and the sky being lit up.
