Is open! Ohhhh go on then. I was going to wash my hair that day but I'll have to find some other time for that I suppose.

Fantastic email too Stu - hilarious! Gave me a great start to the day.

Signed up. I've not been on a boner for a couple of years. Looking forward to it!

I'm in again. Best weekend of the year. And I really don't want anyone to make a fuss of the fact that 8 May is my 55th birthday. Really, no really. No cakes or nuffink.

'snakes alive'. Ok we won't then  .

Hang on. 'No cakes'??? This is the WRT, man! More famous for cakes than a Bake-Off final.

Still, nowt stopping US caking. Dee could perch 55 candles on top of some DFLDC and WE could scoff it all while you stand by observing, hoist by your own public cake rejection  .

I'd use Newtown Dave. It's the nearest town of any size but about 15 miles away. Nearest named village is Llanbrynmair which is about 4 miles away.

Unfortunately it's half term week, so we've booked our annual summer jaunt "north of the wall" that week. I'll be thinking of you WRT'ers from Pitlochry.

The wedding I have to attend is still happening which means I'm still missing the WRT.

Can't you get something planned so that they split up before the big day "for the greater good"

Daft question Stu, how's the "lite" working this year with event starting on Friday? As usual I will have the wkd free but not the bank holiday, does this rule me out?

I thought it started on the Friday?

Either way, it’s my daughters birthday on the Saturday, so I’ll have to miss out (again - not been in 6 years due to her birthday)

Love that photo JC. There's a bit of A Series Of Unfortunate Events air about it - Meryl Streep could live in that house - plus a bit of steampunk. The steel tracery of Barmouth viaduct goes superbly well with that on the house. :-bd

That would be the easiest option if it wasn't right smack bang in the middle of the WRT.
