Reading glasses - a revelation!!!!

Post by slarge »

After a few months of having to push the laptop or phone further and further away to read them, I tried some reading glasses - I can see the crisp outline of text and can see pictures and words and everything! For the middle aged bikepacker don't hold off - just steal a set of the other half when she/he's not looking

I think this is 2020 vision or something twee

Started to realise the other day Steve , that I should wear mine when I couldn’t read the numbers on the wiring loom and then had to take a picture on my phone of the wiring diagram and supersize it :geek:

I'm short-sighted (so the opposite problem for me) but.....my parents have both just been told that they've massively worsened their eyes by using cheap supermarket 'reading glasses' for years that were wrong for them and so did more harm than good.

No problem with cheap reading glasses if they're the right ones so why not get regular free eye tests and then buy them in Morrisons :-bd

Enjoy the crispy edges!

Funnily enough, I was just coming too the conclusion that I am going to have to start taking my glasses on bike rides so I can read the map.....

Anyone know of some bikepacking specific reading glasses (or a monocle for TLS)?

A mate used to carry a monocle around his neck on a string for reading stuff when out on the bike. Great idea, albeit somewhat eccentric.
