Go on then, what did you get?

By prior arrangement the big bloke in the red get-up didn't visit the Towers this year but I'm sure he was very busy dropping all kinds of stuff down chimneys across the land, so go on then, what did you get?

Cycling leggings/bottoms and a couple of tee shirts, but I did escape the Lynx Africa from the Mother In Law for the first time in years. (Maybe she got the hint)

Socks and one of those new dangled DART plugs from a keen-on-tech-researching father. Always seems odd being so pleased to receive something I hope not to have to use!

Same here. Me and Her decided a few years ago not to buy presents for each other. Instead, we give a donation to the Sally Army. Let's face it, we can get any thing we want at any time (within reason), so no need to wait for Santa.

A nice little compact camera of the kids , save keep using the phone or the dlsr , this year me and wifey decided there’s nothing we can’t get each other that we can’t get throughout the year , the kids and dog got what they wanted and the son in law to be got his tickets for that zip line thingy in Bethesda so all was happy in the D’Arcy house hold , now back to work tomorrow (but I did buy myself a new impact gun 1895nm of lovely Milwaukee power) :-bd

Several WhatsApp messages from our neighbours back home complaining that it didn't feel like Christmas as it was 22° and sunny, while we've been driving up and down the UK in the pissing rain. Back to Barca on Sat and home for New year's Eve. Just ordered octopus takeaway for NYE party at our friends house.

Yeah, 531 tubes, full 8spd campag, 1981 custom build for my road bike club chairman, whose my height, and his wife, who is about 10" taller than my son currently so I'm hoping the adventures with Dyffers jr might start in summer. Son said to me yesterday it's the coolest thing in my garage, which makes me a happy dad.

A mug with a picture of the Peak district on it. That'll do nicely.

Well... a set of curve Walmer bars at 550 width, a pair of paramo trousers which are typically paramo, ie during today’s 5 hour ride in the pissing rain, were comfortable yet not completely dry. It’s a paramo thing :-bd
Of course these gifts were from myself, I also got......socks, smelly stuff and a bottle of speyside malt, now don’t get me wrong, it’s a fine dram but after 15 years married you might think she would get the point that speyside’s are very far removed from my beloved Islay malts

Might explain the divorce
We’re all individuals, except me.

I woke up this morning but I’m still in the dark

Alas no, but they are fancy merino ones.

Socks must be a safe bet. Everyone wears them, you can’t offend anyone by getting the wrong size (within reason)... or my feet constantly stink and it’s a subtle suggestion.

I love getting socks. Mmm ... new socks. No, really.

Aside from socks, I got a really nice Castelli Perfetto jersey. Unfortunately, I’ll need to lose a few pounds of winter plumage before I can wear it without it feeling and looking like a corset.
