The end of year 'photo comp'.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Okay, by my reckoning we've not had a photo comp for a while, so now seems as good a time as any.

The theme is 'camp'. Entirely up to you what you make of that but please try and have some bearing. I would also advise that if you must add a picture as an attachment, make sure it's small enough so you don't have to scroll in order to see it.

1/ Post your picture here.
2/ Only 1 pic per person.
3/ Entries will close on Dec 31st.
4/ Voting will commence.
5/ The winner will receive something nice.

Over to you :-bd

Not an actual entry but I'll throw it in because I like it.

I'm assuming the shots must be from this calendar year ... Anyway.

*EDITED* changed my original submission

Took this one last March from a quieter part of Snowdonia which has fine views over to the Snowdon horseshoe. One place to re-visit for sure...

Some lovely pictures :-bd . But everyone's having FAR too much fun in lovely weather  . Wasn't going to enter, but would like to chip something in from the grimy, filthy, reeking end of the BBB spectrum to balance things up. Had a choice of four pics: in a Peak District graveyard in the pissing rain, in a Derbyshire kids playground in the pissing rain, in a Fenland pigsty in the pissing rain, or this one which is MiddleAgedMadness (and meself) in a Hafren Forest toilet block in the, yes, pissing rain. AND thunderstorm. AND honking toilets. AND stinking socks  . No, kids, your granny wouldn't like it  . I rather like Kev Raggedstone's one so far, and BDS's makes a valuable statement.

Aye, yours has a lovely Lord Of The Rings feel about it  . Or, on reflection, The Knights Who Say Ni  . The business with the toilet block does seem to have stunned the thread somewhat, but it was all done in the best possible taste...

After 3 hours trudging through waist high tussock land, I got a spot before it went dark... this one in the morning with a mist and strong winds ! Great Dun Fell at 2200 feet.
