2020 Arkose wheelset

Post by ootini »

I'm looking for a 650b wheelset for my Arkose D2 to compliment the 700cs that came with it. I'd like to run 1.9"-2" tyres.
Would something like the below be a good choice? https://www.huntbikewheels.com/collecti ... e-wheelset
Thanks

The current Arkose uses a 12mm axle each end doesn’t it? You’d need a way to convert the 15mm hub

I've just built similar, and paid more for the parts! That looks a great deal...

Reading the FAQ it seems there's confusion as to whether the front is 12x100 or 15x100, so I've asked for clarity. Evans claim they're the wheels off the Arkose x, which Is 12x100. Seems odd to release a wheelset branded to match the Arkose, but with incompatible hubs.

I believe the conversion caps are about £20 on eBay, so not a show stopper.

These were such a good deal I just bought some. Horizons are cheap at the mo, and they'll have something bigger and slightly knobbly for summer off road.
