Main plan for the year is just to get out more, either short rides, overnights or whatever.

Events I'm doing start with Strathpuffer solo in January, and then I'm not sure. Hoping to do a Bob Graham round in June (24 hour running thing in the lakes) so some of the overnights may well be on foot.

Fraser and I have unfinished business with BaMs. Got 9/12 this year for a 1st attempt so we'll make a push for 12/12.

As we live in Glasgow, we're at the start of An Turas Mor and 2nd City Divide. Planning to make a start on both routes breaking it down to 1 or 2 day chunks at a time.

I'll probably jump on the BAM again.
No events for me, tbh I like to do my own stuff.
I need to have another go at my intended trip up far north which failed in October due to van issues. So Sandwood Bay around Easter time.
All in all, lets hope for a healthy year of riding bikes and doing normal stuff :-bd

Maybe 2020 is the year I finally learn to "pop" a wheelie...

I'll still be in full time (re)education until the end of June, then it's two months of kid holidays and so not likely I'll be able to do anything multi-day until September at the earliest.

Not ideal motivation to get out and put the miles in over the crappier months - boo!

But.....my final major project is due at the end of May and so on the deep, dark recesses of my mind I've not fully let go of the idea of a 6th consequetive Tuscany Trail but we'll have to wait a see.....

I've signed up for Moors 100. In less definite plans, I'm also hoping to get enough miles in my legs to have a decent crack at the Peak 200 and the Second City Divide (in hopes of someone buying me a beer in Manchester).

I'll hopefully also keep going with BAM.
Surely BAM is about more than just sleeping outside?
I guess it's whatever you make it. Even if I stay relatively close to home (and having the Peak on the doorstep does have me counting my blessings), it's still a treat to get away from the noise, hustle and bustle of everyday life and find somewhere quiet and still.

Just getting back into cycling after a 25 year hiatus. My youngest son started mountain biking this year, so I had to buy one to accompany him. Best thing he could have done, I'm having a great time but the lack of fitness is a tragedy.

I've got a few routes around Cumbria, North Wales and Cheshire planned out, both day routes and bikepacking, so I'm looking forward to fitting them in between the usual work / kids / fellwalking / canoeing.

I'd planned to buy a gravel bike this year, but was too busy to use it so that's been postponed until next year.

I’ve entered the Rovaniemi 300...

10th anniversary BB200/300 when the time comes.

Not much else planned, but wondered if there would be any interest in a group start on the Cambrian Trail?

Would love to give the off-road end to end another go. :)

Going to have another crack at the HT (as a ITT)
That's the only thing that's really planned diary wise

Planning to buildup to a 500km audax in 2020, then enter the bearbones 200.

Not sure whats more optimistic, actually completing them or potentially having them to close together for the 'type 2' to wear off the fun part!

Planning on riding the Camino del Norte (probably from Bilbao). May or June hopefully.

Carry on my BaM’s.

As I didn’t manage this year, I still want to do the north loops of the HT550 (pick up at Contin which is ridable from the house...).

Why not a 600km audax, and then you should have a Super Randonneur award to your name.

For me, I'm moving into bikepacking from an audax background. In 2019 I rode Bikepacking Trans Germany. My plans for 2020 include Dales Divide, Italy Divide, Hope 1000 and French Divide. All singlespeed.

Ian, I've been looking at a WC2C2C - Cambrian Trail North to South, then one of the many other variations back up. Makes the transport logistics easier for one thing. Not sure which of several plans will come off next year........

No good answer to that.

The actual plan is to do the Mille Pennine, but I'm avoiding saying it out loud as that involves commitment! Kinda figure that once you've done two ludicrous days and sleep deprivation has leveled off, what's the harm in a third, and my parent's now live just up the road* from the control.

*not close enough to want to cycle up another pass after a 300km day mind you
