A coat to cover my arse

Post by TheBrownDog »

The less kind among you may point out that my arse is the size of Tasmania, and no jacket has a snow ball's of keeping the elements of it. But I shall still ask.

Got me a new job up in London and it means a 20 minute ride to the station followed by a 20 minute ride to the office. I shall wear my office clothes to and from.

Anyone know of a long waterproof hi-viz-ish coat that will do the job. Or maybe I should buy a cape rather than a jacket or longer coat.

Hi Tim, definitely second mudguards as first line of defence. Also don’t fit slick tyres, I had a set of schwalbe kojacks in a bike and they really throw up a load more spray. Plenty of jackets with a drop tail around, also luggage position, if you’re going to use a rack you can turn it into a huge splash guard :-bd

No idea if they’re any good but Decathlon kit usually does the job!!

I'm riding my Brompton which has nice mudguards. Just need something to keep the stuff from above away. Gonna look at capes. This might be interesting ... will provide photos

I'm joining a big manfucturing company - they tell me they're a world leader in metal flow engineering. Should be fun.

A Parka with The Who (other band names available) on the back.
Bling up the Brompton for a retro Mod look.
Zazen - nothing happens next this is it.

Nice idea ... I can see myself slinging 40 mirrors off the handlebars. Might make the fold a bit challenging of course.
