X_X . Has the person fulfilling the other half of the arrangements ever met a bikepacking racer after 299km? I imagine they'd have to be particularly, um, strong of constitution.

Maybe it's a similar facility to the Valkyries which appear after a terminal tussocky death march.

Are Shona and Rich brining the tandem or as individuals?

Doesn't make sense for them to be without their tandems... Didn't even know they actually own their own proper individual bikes... I'm pretty surethat even when the other isn't available to pedal the back/front, they've most definitely found a method of riding a tandem solo...

Solo. Although I believe there will be a tandem team on the 200.

Although I think you can get a cream for that Dave.

Last years 15 starters got whittled down to 7 or 8.....

Going to take quite a few years to get rid of that stack of orange badges at this rate!

No, that's right. She said herself "I passed out on the SRMR, banged me head and got a nasty gash" ... what you meant to think?

What's the technique for tandem hike-a-bike?

A - Shoulder it walking one in front of the other.

B - Up on your back walking side by side.

A - Back in the early 1990's myself and an old girlfriend had a cannondale tandem with those XYYXYZ forks (or however you called them) up front (the forks costing almost 2 months wages at the time). It a technique for sure... but mostly you try and push the bike as much as you can :-)

I assumed as much, it was just a comedy image in my head.

As an aside Norway, just noticed you are based in Cardiff, sometimes... What area? I grew up in Cardiff mostly in Roath Park. :-bd
