On another note...anyone know if there are showers we can use at the finish or should i expect no luxury like that whatsoever, and resort to babywipe bath / dip in the nearest river.
But isn't the Rocket Rob tread pattern (more) susceptible to become clagged up with mud...

Might go for that then...
Mud?

There won’t be any mud

They’ll be far too much water for mud.

But Stu said Wales drains quickly and there'd be only one proper bog  (I realised that was BS thinking about it and his comment at the start of the 2014 BB in Daves vid, "it's all rideable lads"... Oh well...

Prep for the worst and hope for the best... Even the Norgies, however accurate they might seem to be, its still just predictions  ...

Oh well Allans bikes gonna get really muddy I s'pose :o

My biggest concern of surface water is actually getting to the venue. I already flooded one car (it was a bulletproof Honda 2.4 with a shoddy LPG job and ended up stalling in water that was too deeep and then a few weeks later the pistons blew) due to trying to drive through too deep a puddle... Nowadays everytime I see a huge puddle in car it gets my back up...

So much so thay when I see em on the bike its actually quite therapeutic...

Exactly I have moved half my packed items on my list to be wear items. Plus everything has just had another layer of nikwax washed onto it.

I didn't even get to pack them. I'm just winding myself up now. It is what it is, nobody asked me to do it...

As you cross the Barmouth bridge look out for me on the pack raft taking photos of you crossing ;-)
Not riding my bike in this rain (if I don't need to) and I'm going to get wet in the pack raft anyway, so what the hell.

Flats for me. I much prefer walking in fell running shoes to cycling shoes! Although I’m prepared to accept that I might just have the wrong cycling shoes as plenty of others are happy on clips!

Yes mate, I'm bringing down Sammy, will be there for photos and maybe some filming interviews from around 6ish.
