Reflective Accessory Cord or Alternatives

Post by Cheeky Monkey »

I'm planning to replace the cords / tape on the zip pulls of my Wingnut for something reflective (I've got a couple of ancient ones that are all black - bit crap for low light visibility). On mine they use plain black 5 or 10mm wide flat tape. I want to change it for something with a bit of retro-reflective / hi-vis.

Have found stuff like this on Amazon:

Anyone care to point me to potential alternatives?

I'm under no illusion this'll make a huge difference, I'm just fiddling around

TIA

I use a reflective webbing on the zip pulls on the gear I make, you'll have to sew it on thought. Something like this

You can just see it on the zip on the top tube bag

It works really well and is easy to see and makes the zip easier to use.

Do you want me to send you some very very bright yellow dymeena cord Tim. It's not reflective but it is bright.

That's a very kind offer Stu but I already have some (in various colours - purple, yellow and orange). I'm being fussy and specifically looking for something that will reflect a bit of light. I could always get these:

But was hoping for something a bit more tape like (Sean's stuff is getting there). I think what I want is something like boot lace but with threads of retro-reflective :???:

Edit - me and my search for the "right thing":

So what you are after is a reflective shoe lace?

Cheers all, after Sean's (fore-head-slappingly-obvious ) suggestion I found some reflective bootlaces on Amazon that are orange and reflective :-bd

Had seen the pogu stuff and seemed a touch pricey. Had also seen the S2S cord but thought it might be a touch thin (couldn't find the 3mm stuff).
