ON-OFF-ON SWITCH?

A question for those who are electronically literate.
I’d like to make something like the Igaro power switch so I can toggle between lights and charging from a dynamo.
I have an Igaro switch on one bike, all tidy and under by bar tape. It works a treat.
Igaro are out of stock at the moment and i’d like to set up another.
If I want a toggle switch with one input (dynamo) that selects between two outputs (lights or usb converter) is that an on-off-on switch? I’m finding it hard to work out what I need as i’m a bit dim in this area.

I am sure Ian Barrington made something similar. Someone better than me at searching will find it.

Thanks Dave, think I did see that thread and bought the Igaro for simplicity . Since then I’ve been soldering a few projects and think I can knock up what I want now.
Really I just need a little nudge as to the correct type of switch, one input toggling between two outputs.

I think you want a single pole double throw switch

I used an indicator switch meant for an old / custom motorbike. A bit bulky but cheap and idiot proof (I'm an idiot when anything electrical is involved.) I cable tie it to my stem. It has a power in and then has two separate power outs so one for lights, off and one for charging. All terminals are basically brass tubes with grub screws to clamp the wire.

Cheaper versions are available on fleabay

You would be able to get a 3way toggle switch from rs components or virtually any switch you want ,don't know what the amps are out of a dynamo but most toggles are rated at 10/20 amp

Ok. Think i’m getting this.
SPDT is what I want.
What’s the difference between an on-off-on and an on-on switch.

Is it this? On-off-on is one input plus you can have either of the two outputs on at a time or none at all.

On- on is one input plus you gave either output a or output b on at any time.

Yep,on-on will have no central position,it will be either one way or other, would you really need the off position? You'll either be charging or have the light on I would have thought ( have no experience with dynamo's as I don't go fast enough to produce any current  )

easier to change the plug at the end to make it comparable with a kLite switch
