Mike... To save you the trouble, you do know that due to high numbers (I think on the wiating list) Jameso has restricted next years ride to a no-fly policy... That way it helps filter out candidates and thus left with a TNR thats has less climate impact than others.

AFAIK its just a thought and I guess you might be able to protest  ... But don't count on it helping :-bd

Hi Shafiq, is that correct about next years TNR?

Were did you hear that? Are you going this year?

Aaah crap!

I really am running out of excuses not to return to finish what I started in 2016. :-bd

Mike, get the train down. A lovely way to pass the time relaxing at either end of a big ride - simples.

Thanks. Im lucky enough to have a place for this year, and i was aware of James' pledge that if you applied and didnt get in this year, you were primised a olace next year if you wanted one.

I like the ethos, it just needs some rethinking of my travel strategy, or i wont ever ride events due to limited time windows at work.

It's unlikely to be a strict policy - if you entered that draw last year but didn't get in, want to ride next year but can't get there any other way ... it's your call. New entries may be 'persuaded' to get there a nicer, less stressful and less polluting way, or maybe offset the flight, that's all.

Dates, not sure yet, sorry Mike : ) Early Sept, Monday?

I rate this no fly policy so much makes it more of an adventure. Along with the encouragement to get women bikepacking and general plan freedom ethos. Great job Jameso
