Genesis longitude thoughts

Hi,
I’m considering changing my frame from a brother cycles big bro to a genesis longitude.
I like the big bro but the standover isn’t great, I’m 6’3″ so riding the XL which is fine length wise but it feels massive due to the standover.
Looking at the geometry charts for the genesis it looks on paper at least like it should cure that, it also has a 77mm bb drop Vs 60mm on the big bro which should make it feel a little more sat in than on if my understanding is correct.
So in a long way of putting it, should I swap or not?

If it was me and having fit issues like yourself. I'd try and get my leg over an XL and see how you felt. I think most people on here (except for Stu) are a bit tall so likelihood of finding an XL to try out wouldn't be too difficult...

Maybe your thread should read, 'if you're tall, what frame you got, can I get a leg over it'...

:-bd

Aplogies if it feels like the most absurd idea

Hahaha not absurd at all mate.

Truth be told I've pretty much convinced myself that's what I'm going to do, I was just curious as to whether anyone would talk me out of it before I press the buy button.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm not too concerned about the weight as I'm a big old lump myself, and the big bro is no lightweight.
Am I correct in thinking the genesis is standard qr front and rear?

Yes mate ,standard front and rear (think the 2016 model was boost on the front)

Great! I think I'm sold on it.
Just off to strip the big bro, and decide whether to keep it or sell it.

So, after some advice off here, and a lot of research I got one.
I've just finished building it up

Quick ride around the block, and everything seems good. Not as "long" as the name suggests (probably down to using swept back bars)but it seems to fit me very well.
Really looking forward to getting out on this bike.
