Voted for shotgun shack as it reminded me of a similar time being woken by somebody spotlighting foxes.
Met the (young) gamekeepers the next day and was told I was lucky they weren't using infrared as they might not have seen the tent!

Gonna vote for all three . I like the contrasting genres. Nowt wrong with a 'big event' now and then and they make an interesting read so voted for B; big fan of 'take pleasure in the less obvious and understated and the apparently inconsequential and the petty details' so voted for Mr C too; equally a fan of embracing wierd and unexpected and unnerving and absurb occurrences so voted for Stu as well.
