JH Hasn't progressed. Taken from SRMR mountain race Facebook;

While climbing the Kadzhi-Sai canyon section of the route, James was stopped by two horse riders with dogs. Without going into details, James quickly realised the situation was not friendly and things escalated fast into an attempted robbery. James was eventually able to get away from the two horse riders by descending back the way he came. The incident has left James a bit shaken, he will take some time to consider next steps. This is sadly an isolated incident in what is a wonderful country. Photos @rugilekaladyte. @ Kyrgyzstan

Looks like he's backtracked/got a lift and scratched. Shitty luck having done so well. It would be scarey at the best of times, but tired and sleep deprived....😨

Faceache says he spent the day giving police statements etc... and will be carrying on but who knows.

Crappy bit of wrong place, wrong time luck.

Ooh James Hayden absolutely flying in pursuit of Jay Petervary for the last podium place , he’s just 12km behind Jay with 50km to go. What a trooper after that attempted robbery and a full day resting!!💪
