SD card shenanigans

Post by fatbikephil »

The other week I noted the map card in my dakota was playing up - its an ioffer dodgy OS one. First symptom was it taking ages to load up the maps on the GPS and then it refused to do it at all. I managed to copy it onto the 'puter and then onto a new card (a high speed one) and all is well.

So if you are using a dodgy map card (or even a genuine one for that matter)- make a back up now as if mine had croaked completely I'd have had to buy a new Garmin one as the ioffer ones are no longer available.
