Folding Frying Pan

Post by dlovett »

Has anybody come across one of these before? I have seen then with folding handles or where they pop out from the bas, but ideally I want one that is big enough for 4 rashers of bacon, but will fold in half so it will attach on to the back of a narrow hydration pack or in a fork mounted bag.

Any suggestions for a brand would be appreciated.

never seen them but ther eis a titanium one [ ebay or ali express] that weighs 150 g and is aboou 10 " IIRC
that was about the best i found when i looked and never saw a folding pan
Reviews are mixed as they are very thin based so may not fry that well - i wanted mine for thick chocolat drop scones/pancakes

I got one from REI in the US over a decade ago now so probably not much help - it's a bit weighty for hiking/biking camping but still gets used intermittently for car-based camping and it's still going strong. I think it's one of these:

I've never seen a folding pan. As the issue is the width is too much for the carrying method rather than a round pan that folds in half how abut a rectangular pan? A quick google didn't find much but why not use a rectangular baking tray and a gripper handle?

This one is 9.5" x 7"

Or if smaller would be better then 6.5" x 4"

No idea of the quality, just the first that came up.

And the winner is... Great ideal, I'll order one and give it a try. Hopefully with the rag that's in my toolbar and gloves I'll be able to move it Or perhaps a pair of sticks. It's only going to be used on food rides with the bio light not its tyre stuff.

Cheers All.
