How have you gotten back to Denver?

Merits of: 1-way car hire, bus, flying ?

Last year I got a hire car and did a gentle road trip over a week, which was a nice way to finish the trip.

I'd look at the Greyhound bus.
Cheap, easy enough with your bike.
Durango to Grand Junction is a bit boring but only 3-ish hours. From Grand Junction to Denver is great - amazing scenery. Plus the bus is comfy, has wifi and USB charging and stops at the odd gas station for snacks and a pee

I don't know about the planes. They're pretty small - I'm not sure if you'd get a bike on. Though I did get a big suitcase in that weighed more than a bike. Beautiful flight over the Rockies - one of the best I've ever taken.
