Flexible Plastic Drinks Pouches (Hip flasks)
Had a few people ask me about these, so I thought I'd post a link...

Basically all of the drink carrying goodness, without having a hard plastic / metal lump to try and fit into your bags. I carry a couple filled to 75% full and they'll fit into pretty much any space you have in your bags. Strong too, I've scrubbed one around in the gravel with my foot to test and didn't get any leaks.
Can be bought even cheaper on ebay, but I figured I'd post the Amazon link for trust / convenience.

Brings back memories, I worked for probably Europe's largest manufacturer of these beauties. They're officially called stand up pouches but also Doypacks after the inventor. Used extensively for liquid detergent refills, capri sun drinks, soups and even paint. We made sizes from 200ml to 10 litre, must have sold 50 million during my working life.

Just thinking they'd be useful for meths (for stoves ), suitably marked as "urrgh!" of course.

I wouldn't put meths in one, they are made from a glued laminate and solvent will attack the glue causing it to leak.

Ah. I wondered if there might be an issue like that.pistonbroke wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 5:49 pm I wouldn't put meths in one, they are made from a glued laminate and solvent will attack the glue causing it to leak.

I'm going to try it with one of my 80% rums next time I'm out... could probably use it for fuel in an emergency anyway.

Brilliant, I was going to buy a pair of soft flasks for my USWE pack, but these look great.

Yeah, they've worked really well.
You wont be taking a swig as you ride from them though, they're too floppy... but you shouldn't drink and ride anyway!

Thanks for posting this up.
I’ve stopped carrying a hip flask as it was pretty heavy and TLS n all.
Anyway I just got 5 for £2.50 off eBay and they seem perfect.
