Basically all of the drink carrying goodness, without having a hard plastic / metal lump to try and fit into your bags. I carry a couple filled to 75% full and they'll fit into pretty much any space you have in your bags. Strong too, I've scrubbed one around in the gravel with my foot to test and didn't get any leaks.

Brings back memories, I worked for probably Europe's largest manufacturer of these beauties. They're officially called stand up pouches but also Doypacks after the inventor. Used extensively for liquid detergent refills, capri sun drinks, soups and even paint. We made sizes from 200ml to 10 litre, must have sold 50 million during my working life.

I wouldn't put meths in one, they are made from a glued laminate and solvent will attack the glue causing it to leak.
